XX is looking for an exceptional Motion and Interactive Designer to join the studio full-time. You'll bring brands to life through motion and interactive design - creating animated identities, expressive digital experiences, and dynamic design systems for a range of ambitious consumer brands.
This is a role for someone who sits at the intersection of brand, motion and interaction - who understands that how something moves and responds is as important as how it looks, and who wants to help shape what that means for the studio and our clients.

📍
This year we're returning to a physical creative studio in London. We believe the best creative work comes from people in a room, building together. Until then, we have a shared workspace in West London where the creative team meets regularly. This role is hybrid from day one and as we occupy our new space, the expectation will be four days a week in the studio. London-based is essential to this role and to the way we work.

🎬 What you'll do
- Bring brand identities to life. Translate visual identities and design systems into expressive, considered motion and interactive experiences - across digital, social, broadcast and beyond.
- Build things that respond. Design and build interactive moments - websites, digital touchpoints, experimental brand experiences - that feel as considered as the brand itself.
- Work from the brand up. Understand the strategic and visual logic of a brand before you move it, ensuring every animation and interaction feels intentional and on-system.
- Collaborate closely with the design team. Work hand in hand with brand designers and strategists from early ideation through to delivery, contributing to the overall creative direction.
- Own your projects. Manage your own workstreams with care, communicate proactively, and deliver to a high standard without needing to be chased.
- Push the studio forward. Help us define what motion and interaction mean at XX - bringing new thinking, new tools and new techniques that raise the bar for everything we make.
- Stay connected. Keep a close eye on how motion, interaction, culture and technology are evolving, and bring that awareness actively into the work.
🤸 Who you are
- Experienced. A minimum of five years working in motion design, with at least three of those years spent leading projects end to end independently. Your portfolio should demonstrate a command of animated identity, experimentation, type in motion, and brand-led animation.
- Branding-fluent. You understand visual identity systems - how they work, how they flex, and how motion and interaction extend them. A portfolio rooted in brand work is important, but CPG experience is not a requirement.
- Interactive and motion capable. Fluent in After Effects and comfortable with interactive design and/or code. Figma, Cinema 4D, Cavalry, WebGL, or creative coding skills are all welcomed.
- Technically curious. You're not afraid of new tools - whether that's a new renderer, a new prototyping environment, or writing your own scripts to make something work.
